Sew a Wrap Dress

Learn how to sew this class wardrobe staple! There are so many wonderful wrap dress patterns out there. Pick the one that you like best and Beth will teach you how to stitch it up!

You will learn how to:

- Choose the correct pattern size

- Make bias finishing,

- Sewing darts and pleats,

- Hem full skirts,

- Do a narrow hem,

- Adjust wrap necklines for fit

Pattern Suggestions:

As we mentioned, there are a lot of wrap dress patterns out there and you are free to pick the one that appeals most to you! You will want to consider if you would prefer to make a dress with a woven or a knit fabric, as that will influence your choice in pattern.

For knits:

The Cashmerette Appleton dress is a good choice for the larger size range/bust.

The Ultimate Wrap Dress by Sew Over It is also designed for knits.

For Wovens:

Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses.
