About the Event
If you are just getting into garment sewing, making this versatile tank is a great first class. Tanks are summer staple and once you've made one, you won't want to stop! This is also a great opportunity for a more experienced sewist to try out sewing with a more difficult fabric choice. To see more examples from this class, CLICK HERE.
The class will cover:
- Choosing pattern size
- Cutting your fabric
- Sewing darts (if called for)
- Seam finishes
- Lots of tips on how to make sewing faster and more accurate
We love how this class is structured because you can pick the top that works best for your personal style!
Pattern Suggestions:
We offer a few suggestions, but if you have a tank top pattern that you would like to use, you're welcome to bring that one! Just make sure the pattern is made for woven material (not knits).

About the instructor:
Beth Galvin started sewing at age 7 and can sew everything from casual knit tops to tailored jackets to over the top party dresses. She has a popular sewing blog, Sunnygal Studio where she shares her tips and tricks and she also blogs for Craftsy. Beth loves to help people get the pattern they love to fit the way they want. She is brilliant at adding stylish little details that make your projects look professional and special, but what's even better is that she has figured out how to make it easier! One of her favorite things is to teach you the tips and shortcuts that will make your sewing faster and also more fun.
