About the Event
Learn how simple it is to create a traditional Dresden Plate quilt block. Once you understand the basics, you will take advantage of all variations and styles of this technique in your future projects. The beauty of a Dresden is that every type of fabric seems to works - prints, solids, denim, silk, and recycled fabric. We will show you how to make this into a wall hanging, but you could also use this block to make a throw pillow, or the beginning block for your first Dresden quilt!
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner and up
Supply List: Materials to make the hooped wall hanging are included in the cost of the class. Student supplies fabric. Supply list will be emailed upon registration.
About the Instructor:
Pati Fried studied graphic design in college, but always found herself lingering in the textile department. After graduating and working in corporate marketing for several years, she finally discovered quilting and was hooked. She is a fabric and pattern designer, a popular quilt blogger, and her work has been featured in quilting magazines.
